Horror Poster (First Draft)
Evaluation:
The main theme behind my film poster was to show the raw emotions of the character. Which is why I decided to use the close up of the characters eyes rather than the head and torso. The close up of the eyes along with the the red tone I gave them symbolises the exhausted and painful look of the character, linking back to the idea of the trailer. Overall the colour palette was limited to black, white and red. They are all very stereotypical macabre colours for the horror genre, meaning they all connote death or violence in some way. The use of the empty black background to the right of the character links to the storyline, as he isn't sure of his surroundings, meaning he explores it with the audience. I did this to make sure the composition of the poster didn't reveal too much of the storyline, however revealed that it had a deeper meaning.
